A commercially minded Project Manager to shape, plan and deliver high-quality public-facing events from concept to completion.

About Showbase

Showbase designs and builds large-scale temporary structures and hospitality environments across the UK. Alongside this, we create and deliver our own public-facing events – experiences that combine creative thinking, strong commercial control and disciplined execution.

These projects range from intimate hospitality concepts (drive-in cinemas, winter immersive events) to medium-scale live events (food festivals, wellness weekends) each requiring clear vision, structured planning and confident on-site leadership.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of our in-house event calendar, shaping concepts, building commercially sound plans and delivering them successfully through to live operation and breakdown.

The Role

This is an end-to-end project management role with full responsibility for the planning and delivery of our in-house public-facing events.

You will take projects from early concept through scoping, budgeting and structured planning, before leading delivery on site and through live operation. You will be accountable for financial performance, safety compliance and overall event execution.

You will help shape the direction and identity of each event before translating that vision into a structured, deliverable plan.

You will work closely with the Creative, Operations, Marketing and Finance teams, maintaining clear ownership while collaborating effectively across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop event concepts and contribute creatively to early-stage planning and framework design.
  • Build and manage detailed event budgets, forecasts and P&L, protecting margin and financial performance.
  • Create structured project plans covering logistics, suppliers, staffing, licensing and timelines.
  • Manage supplier procurement and relationships, ensuring quality and cost control.
  • Lead event delivery on site, overseeing build, live operation and breakdown phases.
  • Ensure all public-facing safety, licensing and compliance requirements are properly managed.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate event documentation, schedules and financial records.
  • Work alongside the entire team to deliver to the highest standard.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and maintain clear project visibility.
  • Conduct post-event reviews, analysing performance and identifying improvements.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience of working across the entire event life cycle.

  • Experience managing ticketed or revenue-generating events.

  • Experience within hospitality-led or temporary structure environments is desirable.

  • A self-motivated and independent worker, who is equally capable of working cross-functionally with operations, marketing and finance teams, and communicating successfully with stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial experience, including building and managing event budgets and P&L.

  • Demonstrable on-site delivery experience within small to medium scale events.

  • Experience managing suppliers, contractors and event infrastructure.

  • Sound understanding of event health & safety, licensing and compliance requirements.

  • Strong organisational and documentation discipline.

  • Comfortable making decisions under pressure in live environments.

  • Creative input capability combined with structured project control.

  • Full UK driving licence required.

Additional Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Performance based bonuses.
  • Company laptop and phone.
